Women’s
Business Council

Embody Change, Become a Member

Membership Benefits:

  • Monthly professionally-facilitated peer-advisory council

    • Either a 3-hour or a 4-hour in-person meeting

  • Access to our member network and resources on our own Mighty Network app, a private and secure online hub for our community.

  • One-on-one strategic planning and coaching sessions twice a year.

  • A member-only leadership training & retreat in September.

The monthly peer-advisory council meeting serves as a shared advisory board for members. In the monthly member council meeting we are acting as a shared board for each other, as we discuss business challenges and opportunities in a confidential setting. Each member will be using the council meeting as a sounding board on large decisions and ad hoc issues. The program facilitators are also expert advisors who will contribute directly to the peer-to-peer discussions, as well as offer one-to-one strategic planning and coaching sessions twice a year for each member.

Cost:

$990 per quarter or pay in full for a 5% discount on the annual membership.

The membership is an annual commitment. We will work with you if payment becomes challenging or if the overall cost is too much. Please let us know what support you need in order to participate in Beset’s Women’s Business Council.

Covid-19

The monthly council may switch to a zoom meeting when there is a high level of Covid-19 in our community or a major weather event. The in-person meetings will be crafted in accordance with current Washington State Covid-19 guidelines.

Our program is multi-dimensional and designed to create generative personal and business growth. Members will be resourced on many levels — through meditation and embodiment practices, as well as with our rich network of seasoned advisors, facilitators and mentors.

We will get deep into business strategy utilizing a peer-advisory format, learning from, and supporting one another in our entrepreneurial growth. This program is designed to support practiced entrepreneurs and seasoned executives who self-identify as women.

To qualify for the program, prospective members:

  • Hold an executive level role.

  • Carry day-to-day operational responsibilities.

  • Lead an established organization (3+ years of operation) with a connection to the Columbia Gorge region.

  • Hold some ownership interest (if that’s available within the organization).

We welcome non-profit leaders and people who have met the above criteria recently, but have sold or transitioned the business and are on to the next entrepreneurial endeavor. More than anything, we want to create a dynamic peer group where we can learn from each other.

We encourage you to apply even if you aren’t sure you qualify. We will work through the details together.

What happens next?

We will schedule an informational interview with all who express interest in Beset’s Women’s Business Council. We will then have each potential member complete a full application. When we review new member applications we pay attention to any conflict of interests or direct competition with an existing member, as it’s important that members can bring all aspects of their business forward openly. And, we will be encouraging our members to be as open-minded as possible about who is truly a direct competitor.

Application timeline:

  • October 20, 2023: Application process opens

  • November 15, 2023: Mutual interview process begins

  • December - January, 2024: Finalize process, including conflict of interest checks

  • Thursday, February 8th: Exclusive social for accepted/ renewing members
