I was asked to come up with a salary number that I would need to take on this huge new responsibility. I was excited about the opportunity and the potential raise, but I knew I would need help to figure out what I should even ask for. I hired Brieanna to help me figure out what my position was worth, in the area I was living in. She was so professional and incredibly helpful. We talked about different ways to set up a salary and benefit package that would fit my needs, I had not considered that taking on such a huge endeavor was worth more than just a salary raise. Brieanna spent time with me asking me lots of great questions, that helped me sort through what the most important aspects were to me in a new employment contract. She did a lot of research on my geographic location and my position to help me find out what others with my position were making. Pretty quickly we were able to put together a salary, bonus and benefit package to present to my boss. He was so impressed that I had done my homework and he felt comfortable meeting my requests after we talked it all through. I can definitely say that Brieanna helped me see how much my boss valued me and how much that was worth in dollars, and I know that if I had not hired her to help me, I would have shorted myself not only additional PTO, and a new bonus plan but probably a good amount in salary. It is a great feeling to have someone in your corner for these types of important financial and life negotiations.
